This summer we had a blast hosting two HUGE mission teams. The Lord did some really cool things through them. Click the link to head over to our church blog where I wrote about it.
I wanted to take a minute to welcome you to our new blog. Now, you may be wondering why we have yet another blog? I’m glad you asked! When we first moved to Costa Rica, we had a simple blog that we used to put both family and ministry updates on. This worked well for quite some time. But as the Church here in Jaco began to grow we realized that we needed to get more info out there. So, our personal blog, with occasional ministry updates, became our ministry blog. We renamed it after the church, but continued to put some family news on it.
Pursuing REAL is Started:
About a year ago, that blog began to become a full blown church web page. We posted messages online, staff bio’s, event updates, etc. It began to be used in two primary ways. It was being used by current church goers to stay up to date. And it also became the primary way people learned about our ministry online. It was then that we decided to start a personal blog, called “Pursuing REAL”.
I quickly realized that I had a lot more that I wanted to share on ”Pursuing REAL”. Quotes, insights from the Bible, and other things that helped my spiritual growth and seemed worth sharing with others. As a pastor, I love to share and teach so that others can grow also. ”Pursuing REAL” became the perfect place for me to do that.
A Different Kind of Normal:
However, we still needed a way for family, friends, supporters and anyone interested, to be kept up to date with our lives without having to sift through lots of info. This blog is the “central hub” of information about our life and ministry. You will find our social media links, photos, news, newsletters, and more! It can all be found right here!
The blog name comes from the idea that, in the world’s eyes, a Christian’s life isn’t normal. We are different. But in God’s eyes, our lives as missionaries are normal. Just, A Different Kind of Normal! This life is a crazy adventure to say the least and we are excited to have you along for the ride!
