A BIG Announcement For 2017

A BIG Announcement For 2017

Hey Everybody, Mike Here!
In our last update, I mentioned that I had some BIG announcements to make! Well, today, I’m going to make the first one… are you ready? Are you seated? Are you so excited you can hardly stand it?… ok, maybe not, but here it is…

We are expecting BABY #5! Yep, that’s right, Revae is pregnant!!!

I know, total surprise right?! After saying how “done we were” with having kids, the Lord surprised us (BIG SURPRISE!) with another baby. Now, I know what some of you are thinking… “Do you guys know how this happens?”

Anyways, this was a BIG surprise to us (did I mention that already?)! It took a while to adjust to our new reality, but we KNOW WE ARE BLESSED and God has a plan for this little guy. Yes, that’s right, we are having another BOY! After 3 girls, we now have Eli and another little guy on the way. I’m super stoked to be bringing more balance to the family… Eli is too!

Revae is DUE on APRIL 5th! That means we have a lot of work to do to get ready.

Besides making the BIG announcement, I’m also writing to ask if you would consider donating to help with the birth / new baby expenses? This is an unplanned expense, and we have given away everything we previously owned for babies (like I said, we thought we were DONE!!)

That means we now have to re-buy it all…

  • Crib
  • Mattress
  • Stroller
  • Clothes
  • Diapers
  • Changing Table
  • Rocking chair, etc.

Each of these items cost about 50% more to buy in Costa Rica than in the US because of high import taxes.

In addition to this, we will need to pay the birthing costs to the doctor and hospital which will be between $3000-$4000 dollars.

As missionaries, we depend upon the support of friends, family, and partners like yourself. Would you please contribute towards these expenses as you are able? We would greatly appreciate it, and the Lord will reward you richly!

going well. We are getting older, starting to look for help to transition to second. Not leaving but need younger backs to handle unloading containers and all the work that goes with keeping order in a warehouse full of medical supplies. Several new projects needing support. Just posted our blog about three days ago. http://dennis51.wordpress.com We were so busy last six months of last year I failed to keep up with the blog and newsletter. One of our supporters asked where we were they hadn’t heard from us…. YIKES. So in a word the ministry is ‘expanding’. Some changes in home office that we pray are good and will help raise the support that the ‘expanding’ needs. Chuckle. I really thing the LORD likes that story of the boy with loaves and fishes. Blessings on your ‘crew’ brother.

Sounds like you guys have a lot going on! Keeping the blog updated has been a struggle for us as well! It’s amazing how fast time flies by. The Lord certainly loves to multiply what we have. The need for more workers is something we have been praying for as well. The harvest is plentiful… blessings to you all as well!
